Straightforward payment policies

Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

This policy applies to services purchased from Local Plate Digital. A signed agreement or custom proposal may contain additional project-specific terms.

Effective and last updated: August 25, 2026

1. Payments

Payments are securely processed through Stripe. Standard one-time packages and add-ons are paid before work begins unless a written proposal states otherwise. Custom projects follow the schedule in the approved proposal.

Work begins after the signed agreement, required payment, onboarding information, and necessary access have been received.

2. Before work begins

If cancellation is received before onboarding or project work begins, Local Plate Digital will refund the amount paid, less nonrecoverable payment-processing fees and third-party expenses, where permitted.

3. After work begins

One-time project fees become nonrefundable after onboarding, research, planning, account configuration, writing, design, or implementation begins. Any discretionary partial refund will account for completed work, time reserved, expenses, and materials already produced.

4. Approval and launch

No refunds are available after the client approves the work, the deliverables launch, or the contracted services are otherwise completed.

5. Add-ons

Add-ons may be canceled before work begins. Once work on an add-on starts, its fee is nonrefundable.

6. Monthly plans

Managed Website Care and Restaurant Digital Support are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. Monthly charges are nonrefundable once a billing period begins. Cancellation prevents the next charge, and service continues through the current paid period.

Clients may cancel through the Stripe Customer Portal when available or by emailing support@localplatedigital.com.

7. Required website care

The Restaurant Website Launch and Restaurant Website + Menu Launch include the first 30 days of care. After that period, websites hosted and managed by Local Plate Digital require an active Managed Website Care or Restaurant Digital Support plan. If the plan is canceled, the website may be taken offline after the paid period. Website migration or rebuilding is not included unless separately agreed in writing.

8. Delayed or abandoned projects

Local Plate Digital may pause a project after 10 business days without required materials or a response. A project inactive for 30 days may be closed and later rescheduled subject to availability and possible additional fees.

9. Refund processing and disputes

Approved refunds return to the original payment method. Processing times depend on Stripe and the client’s financial institution. Clients should contact Local Plate Digital before initiating a payment dispute so the concern can be reviewed promptly.
